At practice, let's say each player learns well 3 different moves / skills for each of 3 different field situations (9 total). They will have fun learning them. Nothing flashy, just effective and fast. Imagine the impact that would have on your attack. And when defending, they will be tough to beat because they'll recognize so many more moves.

How to take a team approach and get the players using "homework" drills / skills videos between practices.

I had heard that many coaches had tried this and so here's what we did for my son's team. The coach got copies of both sets (5 DVD and 2 DVD), but this plan could also work if the coach had just a 2 DVD set.  He loved the DVDs and printable ebooks too, and had a tremendous amount of material to choose from, for best fit for the players.  So we got extra copies of the 2 DVD sets, one for each player to have at home. At the end of each practice, kids and parents were told to watch 1 or 2 specific short videos from their 2 DVD set, and to work on that material, before the next practice.

Results:  the players learned very quickly (both beginners and
advanced), had lots of fun, enjoyed their homework and asked
for more, and had a great season, too. Parents enjoyed having
a resource which helped them help their players. And the coach
enjoyed having lots of proven coaching material at his fingertips.
